Investing in fine art has generally been the provenance of the very wealthy. But this is about to change, thanks to Masterworks, and blockchain technology. Tokenized art securities will dramatically upend the paradigm for investing in fine art.

It seems to me there’s a get rich quick scheme everywhere we look. Even in the art world, somebody’s always trying to find an edge. Whatever happened to the good old days when of just investing in something of value and letting it earn equity.  The rich invest in art for a reason.  Because it is an investment.  There is an art to investing in art even.  The digital revolution wants to cheapen things by making them accessible to the masses.  I am all for everyone getting a taste, but if we all have the next Ruben or Rothko then what is the point?
